Role: Collaboration Expert | Nutrition Science & Population Health
The Problem
India has incredible scientific institutions, but collaboration gaps often slow down research on maternal health and fetal programming. Resulted in 10 peer-reviewed publications and established scalable models for collaborative translational research in maternal health and fetal programming.
My Breakthrough Insight
I realised the science itself wasn’t the bottleneck but the coordination was. What India needed was a person who could translate complex, multi-institutional science into cohesive, actionable systems.
What I Led
I began as a Scientific Writer and grew into a Scientific Project Manager, eventually coordinating NIH- and DBT-funded programs across institutes like IISc, CCMB, IISER, NIBMG, NCCS, and NII.
- Designed SOPs for the Pune Maternal Nutrition Study RCT
- Managed biological sample pipelines across rural cohorts
- Ensured regulatory compliance across lab and field teams
Impact
This work resulted in 10 peer-reviewed publications, strengthened research infrastructure, and built long-term scientific cohesion across India’s top institutions.
